Frequently
Asked Questions
|
The following are some
of the Frequently Asked Questions
we receive and our responses. We hope you find them helpful!
| Q
– Why is your price so much lower/so much higher than the
other price I got? |
|
A
– There will always be differences from supplier to supplier.
The key thing in this industry is that one job can often
be run several different ways, depending on your desired outcome.
Stock differences are also common, with there being as
many different kinds of “white gloss” paper as there are printers.
Extreme differences in the quotes you receive should raise a
flag that the two companies are likely not quoting the same
specs. This is
why a reputable printer will get as much information from you
as possible before submitting a quote. (See Helpful
Hints for the kind of information we need)

| Q
– What type of files do you accept? |
|
A
– We support current versions of :
Adobe Illustrator
Adobe Pagemaker
Adobe Photoshop
Quark Xpress
Corel Draw
If your file is not in one
of these formats, please enquire if we will be able to work
with the file you have.

| Q
– Why do I need to approve a proof if I gave you my artwork
on a disk / via email? |
|
| A
– The easiest answer to this question is you don’t, as long
as you have given us a color printout for us to reference.
If you are unable to do this we do a proof to catch any
possible errors before we g o to print. Computers are a fantastic tool but are certainly not perfect,
and we would rather catch a problem prepress than once your
job is complete.
One last note – if your job
is full process colour, you will always need to see a full
colour proof. Your
process job will always look different printed than it did
on your screen or printed off your laser printer.
We want you to be happy with the outcome.

|
| Q
– How long will my job take? |
|
A
– It depends on what you’ve ordered.
A job can take anywhere from a day to a couple of weeks
to complete. The
key is to let us know your deadline up front so we can let you
know if we can meet it.
We do not overpromise…if we cannot meet your deadline
you will be told upfront.
Its also nice to know we never charge extra for
rush orders.

$100.00), and a 5% discount (up to $50.00) on all subsequent
orders. |
